San Diego Triathlon Series Training Clinics

16 clinics are scheduled for 2016 They are designed to teach and prepare individuals to perform better in Triathlons and introduce those new to the sport. There will be 4 sessions in each of the swim / bike / run/ transition disciplines. The clinics will be hosted by our partners Xterra Wetsuit, High Tech and Pulse bikes, Rehab United and Road Runners Sports. Each clinic will increase in difficulty from beginner to advanced topics.

Clinic Agenda

Each clinic will focus on SKILLS and include a work-out!

All sessions taught by certified instructor / trainers

Session level 1/2/3/4 progress from Intro topics / Beginner topics / Intermediate topics / Advanced topics. Transition Clinics will be held at the locations of the series triathlons and giving you a course preview a week before the event.

 - Rehab United - Learn to make faster transition from the swim to the bike, and the bike to the run (great for both beginners to experienced Triathletes) (check in 7:00 am to 7:15 am) 

9:00 am Wetsuit Clinic - Free Xterra Item to EVERYONE who attends the Wetsuit Clinic

- Xterra wetsuits will show you the best (fastest) way to into and out of your wetsuit, and discuss wet suit care best practices - If you would like to borrow a Xterra Wetsuit for the clinics please choose this option when you RSVP. Xterra Wetsuits will be offering their demo suits at a very special price!

11:00 am - Red Bull Run and run training talk 

12 pm - BBQ Picnic, Fastest Transition Competition hosted by  (TCSD) Triathlon Club of San Diego, and Wetsuit Stripping Competition hosted by Xterra - Xterra is giving away a Transition backpack to fastest time.

Note on the - Transition Clinic starts at 7:30am - (check in 7am to 7:15am)Learn how to Transition from the Swim to the Bike To the Run. Great for Beginners and seasoned Triathletes. Bryan Hill from Rehab United has helped Our SD Tri Series Athletes to take value time off transitions and learn tricks to just do it all better. Bring everything you need to Swim / Bike / Run.

 What to Bring: Please bring the following for these Clinics:

Swim (Wetsuit - if you have one), googles, swim cap, body glide, towel - swim suit or tri-suit, wear what you will wear in the race)

Bike (Bike-yep you need it, helmet required, bike shoes, sun glasses)

Run (running shoes preferably with easy laces, race belt/number if you have an old one, hat/visor)

Please bring nutrition (water bottle + nutrition)

Note on bikes and other equipment: As mentioned above please bring a bike, this can be any kind of bike. Road bikes are preferred for triathlons but many people use mountain or hybrid bikes. Also, please make sure you check your tires have air. The San Diego Triathlon Point Series and Triple Crown Award

Compete in all of series events to rack up points.  We have age groups for Men, Women, Kids, Athena and Clydesdale. Series winners 1st to 3rd will be invited to our end of the year awards gala.
